After you apply the fix, enable the fix by adding the ForceOutlookSessionForOM value.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Quit Outlook 2002.
  • Click Start, click Run,

    type regedit in the Open box, and then

    click OK.
  • Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook
  • Click Edit, click New,

    and then click DWORD Value.
  • Type ForceOutlookSessionForOM, and

    then press ENTER. This creates a new DWORD value named ForceOutlookSessionForOM.
  • With the new ForceOutlookSessionForOM DWORD value selected, click Edit, and then click

    Modify.
  • In the Value data box, type

    1, and then click OK.

    Note Setting the ForceOutlookSessionForOM DWORD value to 0 will disable the fix.
  • Quit Registry Editor.
